Equipment must be properly matched for high humidity conditions and precisely tuned to maximize moisture removal.
An oversized AC system may cool the home quickly but shut off before it removes enough moisture. The thermostat may say 72°, but the home still feels damp, sticky, or cold and clammy.
This is why a load calculation matters.
Pursuing the highest SEER rating can often reduce a system’s ability to effectively remove humidity.
2. Duct Leakage
