Benefits of Preventative Maintenance

Routine A/C maintenance is key to preventing unexpected breakdowns, especially during the hottest months. It helps reduce the need for emergency repairs, extends the life of your equipment, boosts energy efficiency, and lowers the risk of water damage from clogged drains or frozen coils. Most manufacturers also require annual maintenance to keep your warranty valid. Think of it like caring for your car’s brakes—we schedule regular checkups to avoid failure at a critical time. Your A/C system works the same way. Regular service ensures it runs efficiently when you need it most, giving you peace of mind and year-round comfort.

Complete Multi-Point A/C System Evaluation

Our comprehensive Multi-Point A/C Check-Up is a thorough inspection designed to keep your air conditioning system operating at its best. We examine all major components, including the outdoor condensing unit, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, thermostat functionality, blower assembly, float switches, and safety controls. We also check for visible leaks, corrosion, proper drainage, correct voltage and motor amperage, and evaluate key performance indicators like superheat and sub-cooling. By identifying potential issues early, we help prevent costly breakdowns, improve energy efficiency, and extend the life of your A/C unit—ensuring your home stays cool and comfortable all season long.

Our comprehensive Multi-point AC check up includes inspection of the following:

  • Inspect the outdoor condensing unit for cleanliness
    • Check for corrosion
    • Inspect for visible refrigerant leaks
    • Inspect the condensate drain pan
    • Inspect the condensate drain line for proper slope
    • Inspect the blower assembly
    • Inspect the thermostat operation
    • Verify suction and discharge pressure
    • Inspect safety controls
    • Inspect electrical components
    • Verify correct super-heat and sub-cooling
    • Verify motor amps
    • Verify correct voltage to equipment
    • Inspect float switches
    • Inspect evaporator (remove 1 service panel only)
    • Check capacitor rating
    • Inspect electrical connections for corrosion and tightness
    • Check overall operation of equipment

If your equipment is more than 8 years old we recommend twice per year. Once in the Spring and again when temps reach the mid to high 90’s. Heater – 1 time per year in Fall/Winter

These confirm the proper airflow thru the air handler or furnace.

Recommended once per life of a/c if nothing changes. Changing filter types will require a new test.

• Total system static pressure
• Static pressure difference across the return filter
• Test the pressure difference across the indoor coil
• Calculate fan CFM (as long as air flow table is intact and legible)

Check for leakage & R-value

• Thermal Camera Scan – $49 Recommend one annually
• Duct PSI Test – Quote On Site (usually $385 per system)
• Frequency depends on results of thermal and visual inspections
• Visual Duct Inspection – on site quote Recommend one annually

Prices are subject to change
